Gordon George Templeman, passed away at age 77, surrounded by his family, at G.B Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville, on Friday January 13th, 2023.
Born August 8th, 1945, Gordon was predeceased by parents George and Pearl (nee Keats), and sisters Shirley and Agness.
Left to mourn, his beloved wife of 60 years, Isabell, and his children Connie (Eric), Michael, Keith (Judy), Angela (Ross), Grandchildren Shari (Stephen), Greg, Brandon and family, Brianna (Matthew), Emily (Caleb), Lily, and Sarah. Siblings Ruby (Doug), Joe (Darlene), Lloyd (Doris), brother in law Daniel, and his special little dog, Rusty.
Gordon was a hard worker. In his younger years, at the early age of 8, Gordon fished with his father and grandfather. He built his first house when he was 19, Gordon was an instructor, teaching boat building at the Trade School in Bonavista. As a Navel Architect, he later worked for the College of Fisheries in St. John’s, as an instructor. To be closer to home and his family, he returned to Bonavista where he worked as a carpenter, owning his own contracting business with his sons Michael and Keith. He worked hard and gave his all in everything that he did. He was the foreman on the Matthew Legacy project, He and his sons built many strong and sturdy homes for countless people. His work ethic was dedicated and determined. He was able to do anything that he put his mind too.
He was beloved by all people he met. He was a kind soul, who treated everyone he met with kindness and respect. He was looked up to by many including his sister, brothers, children, and grandchildren. His family remember him for his loving and goofy personality. He never failed to make people laugh or show them kindness and comfort. He was always there to lend an ear and offer his advice to his family and loved ones. He was everything to his family. He was loved beyond comprehension and will be missed beyond expression.. The lives of his family will continue to prosper in his memory and from his guidance.
Gordon has left behind a legacy of life and love that will never be forgotten.
