It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of Pastor Glen James Povey on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 5:45 p.m. at the age of 72 years, after a lengthy battle with kidney disease and three different cancers. Glen, surrounded by his loved ones, went peacefully with worship and prayers into the arms of Jesus. He was predeceased by his parents Fredrick and Dorothy Povey. Glen is survived by his wife Julie; daughters Rachelle (James), Charlene, and Lannette (Dan). 19 grandchildren Josepha (Kyle), Christianna, Hebron, Celina (Gavin), Mahalia, Caleb, Kiara, Shamus, Gaddiella, Jethro, Ellora, Haven, Garron, Bonita, George, Tabitha, Scarlette, Fredrick and Julianna; 3 great-grandchildren Calayah, Zakiah and Beckett; siblings Sharon (Bruce), Diane (Mark), Shelley (Trevor) and Reg (Colleen); aunts Lois, Nina, and Effie; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Glen also leaves to mourn those he considered adopted brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, grandchildren and all those who had a special bond with him.
We would like to extend thanks Dr. Karunakaran, Dr. Shoker, Dr. Mehta, Dr. Othman, Dr. Ghremida, Dr. Chang, and the Kidney Health Center for the exceptional care Glen received over these past years. Also, a thank you to Dr. Khan, Dr. Said, Dr. Solomon, Dr. Panhwar, Dr. Salim, Dr. Richardson, Dr. Johnson and Dr. Fettes all whom cared for him with compassion and hope at the end of his life. Thank you to the Pasqua Hospital, Allan Blair Cancer Clinic and Palliative Care Unit for helping us provide the environment for his beautiful send off into eternity.

Visitation for Family and friends at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina SK on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Private Family Interment at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, February 16, 2024. Memorial Service at Harvest City Church, 2202 8th Avenue North, Regina SK on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 2:30 p.m.
