Obituary
Morrison, Glen (Beaver) David – 68, Tatamagouche,passed away peacefully on April 25, 2024, in the Palliative Care unit at Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Born in Truro, he was a son of Roy Morrison and the late Natalie (Cox) Morrison. Surviving are his two sons, Carter (wife, Ashley), Grand Prairie, AB and David, Kelowna, BC; brother, Jim, Elmsdale; sister, Debra (Parker), Tatamagouche; as well as nieces and nephews, Lisa, Amanda, Natalie (Parker), Sean (Parker), Matthew and Landon. He was predeceased by his brother, Eric and nephew, Mark. Glen taught Industrial Arts at the NS Training Centre in his early years, then went on to work as a Housing Inspector with Municipal Affairs for 25 years. After his retirement, he used his building skills to help many neighbors, friends and family around the gulf shore area. Beaver was an independent and free spirit at heart. He loved country life and his “back 40”, as he called it. He always had music playing, and, like his mom, Beav loved to cook and bake. He always had a kitchen garden like his dad, and he did a lot to make life easier for his father while he was at the cottage, even planting the garden for him. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, biking the trail, playing golf and kayaking. Beav’s siblings (Jim & Deb), his two nieces (Lisa and Natalie), his cousin (Mike Cox), and his neighbours (Blair & Floyd Tattrie) all rallied around him in the final months of his life. We are thankful to all who reached out to him with phone calls and visits, and extra special thanks to all those who were part of Beaver’s Continuing Care and Palliative Care team (we could not have done it without you). Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Mundle’s Funeral Home in Pugwash. As per Beaver’s wishes, the family will have a closed ceremony for the scattering of his ashes.
