Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. Gladys Watts originally of Bloomfield but spent a number of years in Barrie, ON aged 60 years. Predeceased by her parents, Lindo and Daisy Wiseman; brothers, Austin (Shirley), Swartz, Eric; brother-in-law Sam. Left to mourn with the most loving memories her son Trey (Bradley); step-daughter, Elisha; sisters, Mildred (Mac), Marion (George), Doreen, Lorraine (Austin); brothers, Harry (Bernice), Larry (Bridget), Wayne (Michelle), William, Derrick (Joyce); sister-in-law, Ruth; and a large circle of family and friends rooted in the Deaf Community. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home in Lethbridge on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. and Friday, September 27, 2024 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Salvation Army Citadel in Musgravetown. Cremation to take place and interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to MS Canada (mscanada.ca), or the Canadian Cultural Society of the Deaf (deafculturecentre.ca).
