Peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 Gladys Elizabeth Couse of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 72 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Robert Donald Couse (2003). Loving mother to Rose Toombs and her husband Chad, Rob Couse and his partner Trish Carpenter. Proud “Nanny” to Nathan (Gabby), Greyson (Tessa) and Jenny. Dear sister to Audrey Caughell (Camille), Darlene Robinson (Pete) and Don Bowerman (Diane). Gladys was a loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Vernon and Lillian Bowerman (nee Roswell), siblings Barb Clark and Verne Bowerman.
Family will receive friends and relatives at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg, 519-842-5221 on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 12:00-2:00 pm. The funeral service for Gladys will be held immediately following the visitation on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Paul Robinson to officiate. Interment will be at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital – ICU would be appreciated and can be done directly with the charity or by contacting the funeral home.
