It is with great sadness that we announce Gertie’s peaceful passing on Friday, February 9, 2024. Wife of the late Issie Selick, who remained her soulmate always. Devoted and loving mother and mother-in-law of Rhona Selick, Mindy (Honey) and Howard Goodman. Cherished Bubby of Ilana and Josh, Lauren and Josh, and great-Bubby of Lou, Jonah, Samara and Ruby, who delighted her. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses Samuel and Alice, Mollie, David and Shirley; and by Issie’s siblings and their spouses Minnie and Hymie, Marie, Katie and Abe, Abel and Connie, Morris and Lillian. In her last years, Gertie was wonderfully cared for by Christie, Levy, Helen, Cheryl, and her dear Eva, who she loved like family. She was very special to us all and will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, and her family. Graveside service on Sunday, February 11 at 10:00 a.m. at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation Cemetery, Tifereth Jerusalem Section (C26), de la Savane. Shiva at her home.
