The family announces with sorrow his death in Sudbury, Sunday May 19, 2024 at the age of 76 years.
Gerry took pride in his work as a flooring installer and worked on many large projects across Ontario and in other provinces. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Local 2486.
Son of the late Patrick and of the late Maria (née Therrien). Beloved husband of Alma (née Gilchrest). Loving father of Paxton (Gin Snow), Preston (Stephanie Hughes), and father-in-law of Monique Sarazin. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Paul-Jeanna, Elodie, Arwen, and Landon. Dear brother of Fern (Denise) and Clara (Dan Lawson). Predeceased by his siblings Rhéal (late Evelyn), Germaine Cayer (late Edmond), and René (Diane).
Burial service to be held at St. Mark cemetery in Markstay at a later date. Funeral arrangements in care of the Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls.
