Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander, NL on November 21st
2023 Geraldine Sweetapple (nee Dyke) of Glovertown, aged 95.
Predeceased by her husband Leonard, parents Joseph and Lillian Dyke; inlaws Nelson and
Winnifred Sweetapple; brother Aubrey Dyke; brother’s in law Robert, Norman, Ralph and Donald;
sister’s in law Maisie, Daisy, Kate and Louise.
Left to mourn with cherished memories are: son Clarence, daughter in law Patsy; grandsons
Sheldon and Dustin; sisters- in law Genevieve Perry & Sandra Dyke; as well as special friend’s Erdie
and Adele along with her many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
A special thank you to Dr’s Paulus, Al-Dulaimi and the amazing nurses of General Surgery 3300 unit
of JPMH who attended to her during her final days.
Also want to acknowledge Myles and the Girls from Baywatch for their care and kindness over the years.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held at Oram’s Funeral Home Glovertown on Tuesday, Nov 28 2023 from 2-4 pm and
7-9 pm.
Celebration of Life will be on Wednesday, Nov 29 2023 at 2 pm at Oram’s Funeral Home Glovertown, officiated by Rev Paul Vardy.
Service will be live streamed to Orams Funeral Homes Facebook Page.
Interment to follow at United Church Cemetery Glovertown.
In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted for the UC Cemetery Fund.
