No one has spread more love in one lifetime than our precious mother, wife, and Sito. It is with profound sadness we share the passing of Georgette Boutros (nee Amine). Predeceased by her parents Bolous Simon Amine and Catherine Nhema She lives on in the hearts of her husband Hanna and her five children Sayad Boutros (Dru), Antoinette Citron (Dean), Bernadette Dzugan (Rodney), Sue Coral (Claudio), and Mary Spence (Shawn). Her blessings will continue to be spread by her 13 angels, her grandchildren Adam, Alexa, Ashlynn, Jonathan (Her #1), Noelle (Her Shaturo), Lauryn (Her Foro), Jillian Rose (Her Big Red Roses), Sofia (Her System), Anthony, Mackenzie (2003), Aidan, Keenan, Kendra, “her oldest daughter” (niece) May Tuck and her “friend” granddog, “Teddy”. Her life was guided by her faith, and her strong belief in God where she frequently blessed and prayed for others. Our mom had a heart of true compassion and zest for life that was contagious to those around her. Her smile and warm personality lit up any room she walked in and she was always greeted with much love and affection. Throughout her life she shared and passed down her passion for her Lebanese culture and traditions. She brought the family together through her love of cooking and eating Lebanese food at countless family gatherings. Sunday afternoons were often spent alongside her granddaughters teaching them the detailed recipes of our favourite dishes. Her precious time with her children was spent making family memories having picnics at Jackson Park, taking trips to Point Pelee, holiday beach, Niagara Falls and of course Sudbury. With her grandchildren, she enjoyed the simple things like sitting out on her back porch drinking coffee together while looking at the vegetable garden and telling endless stories of her childhood. But most importantly, she loved playing cards of “Basro” where she somehow always managed to win with the “10 of diamonds”. Her children and grandchildren were backed by her continuous support and encouragement through her frequent reminders that she is “proud in you” for all their accomplishments and achievements.
Our sincerest thanks and appreciation to the late Dr. Michael Ziter “my old man” for his optimal medical care and “always knowing how to fix me”. Dr. Paul Ziter, for the countless medical visits that always turned into social conversations of swapping Lebanese recipes. Dr. Bisland and Dr. Brown for always remaining hopeful and never giving up on mom. Our heartfelt thank you is extended to the PSW’s from St. Elizabeth and Bayshore, especially her two “angels” Brittany and Connie, for their genuine love for mom and their compassionate care over the years. Finally, to the ICU “sweet team” at Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus; Dr. Jakob for his gentle and kind approach, and the nurses for their tenderness and understanding.
