He is predeceased by his father George Wallace MacArthur and sister Brenda. Survived by his loving wife Cindy, mother Rose Marie, daughters Megan (Mark) and Allison, brothers Bryan (Deborah) and Brad (Jude). Grandchildren Rylan and Avery.
George loved his family, music, 650 BSA motorcycle and was a proud volunteer firefighter. In September of 1976 he joined the Ironworkers Local 721 and served in the union for 46 plus years where he met many brothers and sisters in his career.
He will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Tuesday June 27th from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday June 28th at 11 am, with visitation from 10 – 11 am. in the Chapel at 1 pm. Interment to follow at Port Hope Union & St. John Cemetery, 114 Toronto Road Port Hope.
