After a lengthy battle with dementia Gail passed away peacefully at Rockwood Terrace Nursing Home, Durham on Sunday, January 1, 2023 the age of 77 years.
Predeceased by her parents Dorothy Homer, Joe and Nellie(Step-mother) Homer, brother Gary Homer, sister Beverley Peters and daughter Bianca Smythe.
She leaves behind her son Kelly Lee, sister in-law Ann Homer, niece Cathy Sheppard, nephews Geoff Peters, Doug Homer and Morgan Peters. Also many grand nieces and nephews.
Missed by her good friends Syvon and Virginia Jennings, Bev and Larry Fuller and her Sorority Sisters. Gail worked at Dufferin-Peel CDSB for many years before retiring at the age of 70.
Gail took great pleasure in her sorority sisters and the activities and positive relationships that created for her. She had a great sense of humor, a cute giggle and mischievous glint in her eyes when she was well.
She was born and raised in Edmonton and moved to Toronto later in life.
Cremation has take place at the Flesherton Cemetery Crematorium.
In remembrance of Gail, in lieu of flowers if you wish to donate to Sick Kids Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
