Remembering Dawn
Gwendolyn Dawn Fairweather (Dotten) went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 6th, 2023. Born in Wallace, NS on February 24th 1935, she was the only child of Winston and Inez Dotten.
She is survived by her only child, Kimberley MacKeen (Eric) and granddaughter, Erica MacKeen. Dawn was predeceased by her parents, husbands Martin Hoffman of Ontario and Douglas Fairweather of Scotland, many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Dawn, as a member of the New Annan United Baptist Church and an adherent of Sunrise Baptist Church was a deeply spiritual person who shared God’s love with others. She loved being surrounded by family, friends and animals and loved helping other. Her faith and love will continue to be felt for years to come. A Graveside service will be held 2 PM Wednesday, October 11, 2023 in the Bell Gift Cemetery, West New Annan, Pastor John Donkin officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central New Annan United Baptist Church, Sunrise Baptist Church, or a charity of choice.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Debert Court for the kind, compassionate and loving care they provided during the past year. Arrangements have been entrusted to Coulter’s Funeral Home in Tatamagouche.
