It is with great sadness that the family of Fred Hallows announce his passing on Saturday March 4, 2023, at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll at the age of 82 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years Betty; children Fred Jr. (Susan), Elizabeth (the late John) Hamm, Julie (Joe) O’Donnell. Proud Papa to his grandchildren Maggie, Adam, Andrew, Travis, Sydney and Liam. Survived by his siblings Doreen (Fred) Dienesch, Jean Armstrong and Elaine (Gary) Bowman and Janice (Brian) Durham and sister-in-law Carol Hallows. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents George and Lila (Dodgson), by his brothers Ron and Ken Hallows and brother-in-law Bob Armstrong. Fred was a lifelong resident of Tillsonburg, former Service Station owner and farmer. Cremation has taken place. A Private family Graveside Service will be held at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to a Charity of your choice can be done by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted by the Hallows family.
