Suddenly at his home on Thursday, January 18th, 2024 at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Irene Wipplinger for 33 years. Loving father to Keri Kasaboski and her husband, Darin. Cherished grandfather of Matthew Threlfall-Kasaboski. Dear son of Mia and the late Otto Wipplinger. Fred will also be greatly missed by his mother in law Helen Fraser, sister in law Catherine Pedersen and her husband Paul and their son Eric. He will also be greatly missed by the many friends he made throughout his life, both personal and professional.
Fred worked for Inmont / BASF for over 30 years, working his way up to being an IT Executive.
Fred had many passions in his life. Most important to him were, thoroughbred horse racing, (he loved going to Woodbine Racetrack), hockey (he loved the Maple Leafs, but they frustrated him to no end), cars, and music. He was a true Beatles and Rolling Stones Fan. Forever a 70’s Hippie! Fred was happiest being at home with his wife and his beloved cats, of which he had three throughout his life. His absolute favourite being his little girl, Holly. She is already missing him tremendously.
A Celebration of life will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Wednesday, January 31st, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Fred in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 22nd Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
