With heavy hearts we announce that Fred Kiyoshk ‘Sod’, a member of Walpole Island First Nation passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the age of 56. Fred will be forever loved and deeply missed by his wife Naomi, his children Ashlee (Trevor), Chelcee, Gardnerr, Noolaa, Tracy, Fred Jr, Aaron, Jenelle, Jordan, the late Llewellyn and his many cherished grandchildren and one great grandchild. Son of Clara (the late James) Kicknosway and the late Lloyd (Beverly) Wrightman. Dear brother to Paulette, Kelly, Warren, Ernest, Heath, James, Clifford, Christopher and the late Harold and Dennis. He will be dearly missed by his aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Family and Friends are invited for community visitation at the family home (341 Chiefs Rd., Walpole Island) beginning on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 5pm until the time of his funeral service at Walpole Island Sports Complex on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 11am. Burial at Highbanks Cemetery to follow. Services have been entrusted to Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home (409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg, 519-627-3231).
