Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on February 16, 2023, at the age of 89.
Father of Frank Gervais, Tammy Maccarone, Katherine Maccarone (Keith Marshall), Judy Davey, John Maccarone (Kelly) and MaryLou Erickson (Phil). Fondly remembered by Linda Folz and Cathy Lewis. Grandfather “Nuzzo” of Wes Gervais, Carla Powell, Wade Gervais, Matthew and Taylor Maccarone, Paige Maccarone, Kendell and Shea (Rebecca) Davey, Emily Miket (Kyle), Austin Maccarone and Mackenzie and Jesse Erickson. Great Nuzzo of 11. Predeceased by former wife Jeannette and affectionately remembered by Margret Fletcher.
Son of the late Luigi and Palma Maccarone. Predeceased by sisters Mary Vender (Lou), Teresa Bordin (Guido), Rose Miceli (Angelo) and Gena Bouchard (Joe McAlpine). Survived by sister Angela Harris (Stu) and brother John Maccarone. He leaves behind sisters and brother in law Sylvia (late Maurice Pelletier), Connie (late Ron Channels), Shirley (late Albert Pelletier) and Eddie Pelletier. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a Come and Go, Celebration of Life will take place at the Legion Branch 25 (temporary location – Marconi Hall 450 Albert St W, SSM) on February 27, 2023, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
The family would like to thank the medical staff at the Sault Area Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #374 or #25 (Payable by cheque), or to a charity of your choice.
