Francesco Pigozzo, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, peacefully passed away on June 1st, 2024 at the age of 90, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He was the devoted husband of Anna Maria, his beloved companion of over 60 years, whose love sustained and enriched his life until the very end.
Francesco’s greatest joy was his family. He was the loving father of Mara who was married to Joe and, Franca who is married to Angelo. Together, they shared a bond built on respect, understanding, and unwavering support. Francesco’s heart overflowed with love for his daughters and son-in-laws, and his presence brought warmth and comfort to their lives.
Although Mara, his daughter, departed this world before him, Francesco found solace in knowing that they would be reunited in heaven, where they could once again share their love and laughter without the constraints of earthly life.
Francesco’s role as Nonno was one of pure delight and tenderness. He held a special place in his heart for Daniel and Alexander, Tania, Selena, and Leanna, his beloved grandchildren, whose laughter and innocence brought immense joy into his life. As a Bisnonno, his love extended to Isabella and Madison, his great-grandchildren, who filled his days with even more happiness and wonder.
Francesco is also welcomed at the gates of Heaven by his beloved siblings, Onelio, Rina, Bruno, Silvana, Gino, Agnese, and Natalia. Their reunion in the afterlife brings comfort and joy, as they are now reunited, their spirits forever intertwined in the eternal embrace of love and peace.
Throughout his life, Francesco embodied the values of kindness, generosity, and compassion. His gentle spirit touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and uplift future generations.
Though Francesco may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will live on in the memories we hold dear and the love that binds us together as a family. May his soul find eternal peace, knowing that he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Visitations for Francesco have been entrusted to the DeMarco Funeral Home – Woodbridge Chapel (8003 Weston Road. 905.850.9500) and will commence on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on, Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. and conducted at St. David’s Parish (2601 Major Mackenzie Drive, Maple, On.). Immediately following Francesco’s Mass, an entombment service will be held at Beechwood Cemetery (7241 Jane St., Concord, On.).
