Florence Marie Spence passed away peacefully at Hospice North Hastings on Monday, February 5, 2024 at the age of 96. Florence (Brethour) Spence, beloved wife of the late Leaman, loving mother of Colleen, Evon (& David) McCormack and Wilma (& the late Garry) Spence, all of Bancroft, loving grandmother of Katherine, Kim & Chris, Dean and Angela & Michael and great grandmother of Erica & Connor, Cole, Taylor, Joel, Aushton, Walter and Olivia. Florence is survived by her sister, Doreen Harvey of Peterborough and was predeceased by Harry, Garnet and Shirley-Mae. Florence was born in Bancroft and has resided here for her entire life. Her sense of humour, hard-work ethic and love of dancing and tending to her vegetable garden will remain in the hearts and minds of all who knew her. She is now reunited with Leaman and Garry, both of whom she missed dearly.
