Alice Faye Drescher (Springer) of Semans, SK passed away on October 14, 2023. Faye was born on December 5, 1943 in Wadena, SK to Charles and Twyla Springer and grew up on their farm south of Paswegin. Faye attended Quill City country school, Wadena high school and Teachers College in Regina. She spent several years as an elementary teacher, first in Swift Current, then in Regina.
In 1971, Faye married Arnold Drescher of Semans and together they farmed and raised 3 children, Shannon, Kent and Shayne. Faye was a very hard worker, running her house, growing a large garden and volunteering on several community boards including the Figure Skating Club and the Cemetery Committee. After her children were grown, she returned to teaching and enjoyed several years as a substitute in Semans and Raymore. She took great joy in spending time with her granddaughters especially passing along her cooking and baking knowledge.
Faye is survived by her husband of 52 years, Arnold, her sons, Kent and Shayne (Jennifer) and granddaughters Hayley and Alexa.
Faye was a very private person, so as per her wishes, no memorial service will be held.
