It is with heavy hearts that the family of Eric Otto Merkle of Lac La Biche announce his passing on September 26, 2024 with his family by his side.
Eric is survived by his loving wife of 48 years; Carolyn Merkle, children; Erica Merkle (Todd Sr.), Danny Merkle, Katie Blair (Delaney), Leanne Johnson (Kelly), Loranda “Shorty” Ahnassay (Josh), Lisa Ahnassay, grandchildren; Baby Todd, Justice, Caprice, Alana, Phoenix, Tiffany, Annabelle, Leon, Joe, Sophia, Beyonta, Treyton, Rylee, Elisa, Mikalah, Kayleb, sisters; Kathleen & Lisa, brothers; Johnny, Gary, Alan & Andy, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
Eric is predeceased by his grandson; Christian, parents; Kurt & Lena, brother; Randy, sisters; Judy & Crissy, grandparents; Ariel & Elisa Quintal.

Funeral service Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM at St. Catherine Catholic Church Lac La Biche with Father Aneslmo Landoy officiating.
