Enrico Francesco Guglielmo (February 22, 1935 to September 28, 2023)
It is with profound sadness that the family of Enrico Francesco Guglielmo announce his peaceful passing at the age of 88, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Santa Croce di Magliano, Italy, immigrating to Canada in 1967, Enrico was a master tailor known for his meticulous skill and passion for his craft. Enrico will be lovingly and forever remembered by his wife Assunta of 61 years, his children Vincent (Rose) Guglielmo and Rose (Dann) Crandall, his grandchildren Daniel (Zoë), Michael (Teresa-Marie), Matthew, Sebastian, and Eric, and great granddaughter Giada. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his brother Sebastiano (Elisa) Guglielmo, as well as his sister-in-law Maria (Antonio) Licursi. Enrico was the son of the late Vincenzo (Rosa) Guglielmo, son-in-law of the late Giovanni (Vincenza) Iammarino, brother of the late Maria and Filipo Guglielmo, Ida (Domenico) Santarelli and brother-in-law of the late Antonietta (Antonio) Ziccardi. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
We are very grateful for the compassion and care given to Enrico by the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Juravinski Hospital, Home and Community Care Support Services, the Palliative Team from Bayshore, and St. Peter’s Hospital.
Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Rd East, Hamilton on Sunday, October 1st from 2-4 p.m and 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 2nd at 10:00 a.m at St. Margaret Mary Parish, 20 Idlewood Ave., Hamilton. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Hamilton Health Sciences (St. Peter’s) or The Canadian Cancer Society.
