MEDEIROS, Emmanual DeJesus passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 6, 2024, in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia at the age of 57.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Edina and his two beautiful sons Gabriel and Dylan, Mother Fernanda, Sisters Anna, Lisa, Sonia and Brother Stephen. Brother-in-laws Luigi, Nick and Istvan. Sister-in-laws Anna and Beata. Godfather to Karina, Kristia and Shane. His favourite mother-in-law Maria. A loving group of nieces and nephews and of course his many friends and colleagues he held dearly through the years.
Born in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Portugal, his early years were blessed with a loving relationship with his grandfather, memories he spoke of fondly. From Toronto to Vancouver his family meant the world to him. He devoted himself to his wife while striving to be the best father to his children. Emmanuel was full of joy and kindness. His warm nature imprinted on all who were lucky to experience his heart of gold. Welcoming smiles, big warm hugs and his deep laughter always made you feel at home in his presence.
The” Outdoors” was his playground. His enthusiasm was palpable as he dove into each activity with gusto. His particular passions were rowing, canoeing, cycling, camping, cooking and entertaining. Along with his enjoyments, his big heart extended to participating in Cancer fundraisers, specifically The Ride to Conquer Cancer and Movember.
We know that he is watching over us and guiding us through our days without him. May he be in a safe place, resting in peace. Emmanuel, you will live in our hearts forever.
Funeral service held at St. Helen’s Parish, 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Society.
