Obituary
It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the peaceful passing of Ella (MacIsaac) Lamarche on Wednesday December 14th 2022 at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital. Born December 28th, 1955, she was daughter of the late Angus and Elizabeth (Mercer) MacIsaac.
In her younger years, Ella enjoyed spending time at Gillis Lake and later took her own children there to spend time at the beach. She was a sports fan with curling, baseball, basketball and tennis at the top of her list and on the other hand she had a real eye for fashion and interior decorating. Ella was a loving Grandma to Molly McArthur, Cassie, Luc and Violet Lamarche and aways had some bubble tape gum and chocolates for them in her purse.
Ella is survived by her daughter Rachelle Lamarche (Jason McArthur), London ON and son Marc (Alexis) Lamarche, New Waterford; sisters Sandra (Paul) MacLean, Sharon Cadden, Linda (Glen) McFarland; brothers Bob, Ron, John (Anne Frances) of New Waterford and Barry (Georgina) MacIsaac, Petrolia ON along with numerous nieces and nephews from Cape Breton to British Columbia.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by sisters Beverly Field, Marlene MacIsaac and Cynthia in infancy; brothers in law Bree Cadden, Jim Ferguson; sister in law, Paula MacIsaac.
We would like to thank the staff at both the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital and New Waterford Homecare for providing comfort and care. If you so wish, donations may be made in Ella’s honour to the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital or the charity of one’s choice.
Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of McLellan Funeral Home 3183 Plummer Ave New Waterford. A celebration to honour Ella’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 21st at 11a.m. at Calvin United Church, followed by an interment service in Union Grove cemetery with Rev. Duncan Roach officiating. Following the services all are welcome to attend a reception at the New Waterford Army, Navy, Airforce Unit 217.
