Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Sunday, January 1, 2023, Elizabeth Mary Hickey of Grand Le Pierre aged 83 years. Predeceased by her parents, Louis and Mary Vaslett; parents in law William and Francis Hickey; husband George; sons Louis J. Hickey and Michael J. Hickey; grandsons Curtis and Jonah Hickey; sister Theresa Kilfoy. Left with fond and loving memories her children; Edward (Juanita), Andrea (Ralph), Richard (Sharmine), Mary (Ivan), Glen (Georgina), Paul (Amanda), Pamela (Bradley), Cameron (Renee); 19 granchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters Georgina Fudge, Rita (Peter), Germaine (Charl); Reginald Vaslett (Maureen), William Vaslett (Violet); brother in law Offrow Kilfoy; her special friend Rosella Brewer at Cozy Quarters; and a large number of family and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home in Clarenville on Monday, January 2, 2023 10:30-12 & 2-4 P.M. and Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral service to take place Wednesday, January 4, 2023 11:00 A.M. With interment to follow at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Grand Le Pierre. The family would like to thank the staff of the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care in her final days. They would also, like to thank the staff of Cozy Quarters for their care over the past 15 months.
