Obituary of Elio Perrone
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announce the passing of Salvatore Elio Perrone on Tuesday, November 28th 2023 in his 78th year at the NHS-St. Catharines with family at his side. Survived by his cherished wife of 55 years, Verna Perrone; loving children, Joseph Paul and Elian John; proud grandfather to, Jacob, Joshua, Devon and Allegra; brothers, Dante (Judy) and Frank; Adored Zizi to, Mary Kathryn (Rob), Dante Jr., Isabella, Francesca and Aiva. Elio was predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe and Gilda Perrone and sister Anna Perrone. After a successful self-employed career in Tiles and Flooring, Elio spent much time with his family including time with his brothers and supporting his grandchildren in all their endeavors. Elio was a dedicated member of Club Roma for over 50 years. He will be remembered as a generous spirit who would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He enjoyed socializing over a cup of espresso and cards. Elio will be truly missed by his many close and loyal friends. In keeping with Elio’s wishes, Cremation has taken place and funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. The family welcomes friends and family for a time of gathering on Sunday, December 3rd 2023 from 4:00-8:00PM with prayers beginning at 4:00PM in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass Monday, December 4th 2023 at 10:00AM at the Cathedral of Alexandria, 3 Lyman St., St. Catharines. If desired, please consider making donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Community Care, St. Catharines in memory of Elio would be appreciated by his family.
