1936-2024
On Thursday, August 29, 2024 V. Elaine Kenney of Bristol passed away
at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville NB surrounded by her
family. Born November 2, 1936, in Wicklow, NB she was the daughter of
the late Robert L. Hamilton and Verna B. Tweedie. Elaine was also
predeceased by her sister Nelda McGaughey, her brother Neil Hamilton,
her daughter Beth Elaine Papageorgiou, grandson Brett Anthony and
brothers-in-law Delmont Sipprell and Robert Clark.
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Anthony (Percy) of
Fredericton; sons, Brent Kenney (Brenda) of Bristol and Steven Kenney
(Kim) of Hanwell; son-in-law, Nick Papageorgiou of Cyprus;
sisters, Jean Sipprell, Beryl Clark and Norma Grierson (Gerald);
brothers, Hazen Hamilton (Norma) and Harold Hamilton (Shiela);
grandchildren, Jesse Anthony, Alisha Anthony, Dr. Ross Kenney, Dr.
Matthew Kenney, Taylor Kenney and Dr. Jenna Kenney and in Cyprus grand
children Agni Papageorgiou, Andrew Papageorgiou, Costas Papageorgiou
and Stephanie Papageorgiou; Elaine had 3 beautiful great grand
daughters, Lilian Kenney, Addison Kenney and Olive Anthony.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Upper River Valley
Hospital, Dr. Clay Marco and Dr. Chowdhury.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from
1-3 pm. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 pm. Andrew Smith will
officiate. A private interment will be in the Pomphrey Cemetery. For
those who wish, donations can be made to the Pomphrey Cemetery or to a
charity of the donor’s choice.
