It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Rena, surrounded by her loving husband George and family. Predeceased by her parents Clare and Freda (née Coffin) Roberts, brother Gary (Jeannie), sisters Faye (Hayward) Brown, and Eloise (Webber) Vautour, and her loving children Susan, Michael, and Cindy, whom she longed to hold again. Survived by sisters Agnes (Laurie) Bodechon/Wood, and Nancy (Gerald) Chase, her devoted George, who took care of her and loved her immensely for 45 years, daughter-in-law Patricia, granddaughters Lisa, Dawn, Sherry, Chantal, and Paige, as well as 10 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbours.
To know her was to love her, and her bright light, positivity, and strength will be missed tremendously, but never forgotten. This is not goodbye, but until we meet again.
We would like to thank the ICU nurses at St. Joseph’s Hospital who cared for our beautiful grandma in her last days, especially the tall handsome nurse, for whom she wanted to leave a tip. Our deepest gratitude and thanks.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday July 16, 2023 from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. at The Boiler and Whistle, 1900 King St E. Hamilton, ON L8K-6R4. Come share a memory and some laughs with us in honour of this remarkable woman.
