It is with great sadness that the family of Edith Butt, Port Union announce her peaceful passing at the age of 87 with her family by her side on January 22, 2023, at the Bonavista Hospital.
She is predeceased by her sons Reg (Christine) and Eric.
Left to mourn with loving memories is her husband of 67 years Paddy; her children Gerald (Karen), Ambrose (Betty), Eileen Cole (Pete), Shirley Stead (Terry), Aiden (Joyce), Karen O’Keefe (Lowell), Debbie Morris (George), Denise Power (Tom) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
We would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Golden Heights Manor for taking such good care of Edith during her final months. Also thank you to the staff at Bonavista Hospital for your kindness and compassion during her final hours.
Edith was the center of her family, even at the age 87, she enjoyed Facetime with all her children.
She also enjoyed a good game of 120’s watching the Game Show Channel, and a Sunday drive.
Our family lost a matriarch, but heaven gained an angel.
