79 years, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Chatham Kent Health Alliance, Chatham. Beloved husband of Pam (nee Siddall) Smith. Dear father of Tabitha (David) Smith and Benjamin Smith. Cherished grandfather of Emily Smith Peckford, Kyle Smith, Kayla Pestowka and Kelli Pestowka, great grandfather of Bentlee, Lincon and Amelia. Predeceased by his parents Don and Alberta (nee Harris) Smith. Son-in-law of Mary (late Harold) Watkins and the late Jack Siddall (Maggie Wabano). Brother of the late Ralph Smith, Barb (late Bob) Siddall and the late Don (surviving wife Linda) Smith. Brother-in-law of Michael (Mary Jo) Wabano and Susie (Chris) Sutherland. Leroy will be sadly missed by his fur baby Burt. Leroy will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Leroy always wore a smile and had a joke or two to share. At Leroy’s request cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Leroy may be made to Chatham-Kent Hospice (34 Wellington Street East, Chatham, ON N7M 3N7). Arrangements entrusted to Kendrick Funeral Home, Chatham.
