Duggan, Douglas passed away peacefully at Northland Pointe on Thursday January 5, 2023 at the age of 83. Beloved husband for 60 years of Barbara (nee Mirrlees). Loving dad of Karrie, Wendy and her husband Michael Lockhart, and Christopher and his husband Tyler Neal. Special Papa of Marissa and Maegan Lockhart. Doug is survived by his sisters Leona (Bill), Doreen (Stan) and Rita. He was predeceased by his parents Leo and Martha and his siblings Marie, Betty, Norm, Harold and Robert. He will be fondly remembered by all of his family and friends. Doug was a volunteer firefighter and was proud to have become an honorary member. He was a proud Scout Leader for many years. He loved fishing and spent many hours at his favourite spot in Bon Echo. In his spare time he loved wood working and building for his family and friends. The Duggan family would like to thank the entire staff of Northland Point and all the girls on Bayview Heights for all of the care and compassion shown to Doug. Also heartfelt thanks to friend and neighbours Gordie and Jakki, Sharon, Kim and Martha for all of their assistance since Doug’s stroke. At his request cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later time. Memorial remembrances to Northland Pointe or Shaver Hospital would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135Clarence St., Port Colborne.
