We are sad to announce the passing of Mary Kathleen DOROTHY Jorgensen (nee Boisvert) at the age of 89. Dorothy passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023 in St. John’s Newfoundland. Dorothy was born December 28, 1933 in Montreal, Quebec. Dorothy was a vibrant independent and caring woman who volunteered often throughout her life. She especially enjoyed being a housemother at Elizabeth House in St. John’s, providing care and support for the residents.
Dorothy is survived by her sister, Pauline, her children, Wanda, Sandra, (Bob), Sharron (John), Suzanne (Wayne), her 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her niece Carol Ann (Daniel) for their love and caring these past few years. Dorothy will also be greatly missed by her friends, especially her dear friend, Colette.
Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, Carl, her parents, Ada and Hugh Boisvert, her siblings, Jean, and Laddy, her son, Wayne, and her son-in-law, David.
Her family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful, caring staff at Chancelor Park.
Visitation will take place at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road on
Thursday, December 28th
2 p.m.- 4 p.m.
7 p.m.- 9 p.m.
Interment to take place at the Anglican Cemetery, Hodder’s Point in Burin on Friday, December 29th at 1pm.
