Doreen Gertrude Aston (Calver) – Entered into rest at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Monday January 8th, 2024 at the age of 97. Doreen was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Aston and loving mother of Wenda and her husband Allan Kirby (deceased), Wayne and his wife Kelly Aston and Warren and his wife Gwen Aston (deceased). Cherished grandmother of 6, great-grandmother of 8 and great great-grandmother of 1. A service to celebrate Doreen’s life will be held at Mackey Funeral Home on Thursday January 11th, 2024 at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
