Donald Patrick Derraugh Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, father-in-law, grandpa and friend Don Derraugh. Don passed away on Sunday September 29, 2024, at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta.
Don and his twin brother Dave were born January 25, 1958, in Kitchener, Ontario, and raised by Jack and Alice Derraugh.
Don went to Sherwood Secondary School, where he graduated in 1976. He went to study creative advertising and business at Mohawk College, from 1977 to 1980. After moving to Alberta, Don followed his passion for teaching and went to college to become an Education Assistant through Bow Valley College and later he worked with adults with special needs.
Don enjoyed many activities, such as camping, football, wood burning and playing crib. He also loved spending time with his daughters and his grandchildren.
Don will always be loved and remembered by his three daughters, Kaila, Tarynn and Rochelle (Francis), along with his two grandchildren, Berlin and Athanasius.
A funeral service for Don will he held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hope Community Covenant Church in Strathmore, Alberta.
