Sadly, Donald passed away peacefully at home after a prolonged illness on December 28, 2022 in his 80th year. Survived by his wife Marla, son Bradley (Alison), daughter Allison Brens (Jodi), daughter Lindsay Cords (Will) and 4 grandchildren: Thomas Cords, Maya Cords, Ashley Brens, Abby Brens. Sisters: Lois Boyd, Marilyn Burgoyne and several nieces and nephews. Don attended Western for his BA (1967), University of Ottawa for his LLB (1970), called to the bar in 1972, QC (1984)
Don was a partner in the law firm of Forster, Lewandowski, & Cords (1972-2015)
Past director of Lincoln Law Association, and past member of Canadian Bar Association.
Served on church council of Silver Spire (St. Paul St.) United Church as well as many community and professional organizations. A very active member of the Conservative Party.
Don had a great enthusiasm for life and was very loyal to his family, friends and clients. He will be fondly remembered by all.
His favorite hobby was travelling and he and Marla visited many destinations.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to PASSFIELD MORTUAURY SERVICES INC. A family inurnment service will be held at Silver Spire Columbarium at a later date.
