Donald’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Campbell, resident of High Prairie, Alberta.
Donald was born to Gordon and Edythe Campbell March 14, 1936 in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba. He made his way to Alberta for work at the young age of 16.
Donald met his loving wife, Gladys in Alberta and they married in 1957, eventually settling in Gladys’ hometown of High Prairie to raise their family.
Don was employed with General Service Garage until he opened his own business, Don’s Auto Body. He retired in 1994 when he sold his business to his son.
Don enjoyed spending time with family, and his grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy!
Don was predeceased by his parents, his sister Margaret, and brother Gary.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Gladys; his sister Irva; his children Dale, Rhonda Rich (Shawn), Brian (Kathy); grandchildren Danny, Lyndon, Kevin, Ryan, Cameron, Kyle, Krista, Devin and Tyler; as well as great-grandchildren Nicholas, Marvin, Liam, Elliot and Benjamin.
Don’s family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has taken the time to make his life comfortable over the last 8 months. To the staff at Pleasantview Lodge, the HomeCare staff, his doctor (Dr. Mukuna) as well as other doctors in the last few days & weeks, along with all the wonderful nurses, aides and helpful, caring staff at the High Prairie Health Complex.
