On the morning of December 31st, 2022 Donald Cameron Fraser, aged 82, passed away
peacefully with family at his side in Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria, BC.
Don was born on Aug. 23, 1940 in Matapedia, Quebec to William and Helena Fraser (nee
Lodge).
He is predeceased by both his parents, his daughter Kimberley, and siblings: Malita, Dorothy,
Florence, Bill, Maizie, and Jim.
He is survived by: his daughter Heather McQuinn and son Cameron Fraser; 3 grandsons: Mike
McQuinn (Leah), Tony McQuinn (Kim), Ethan Widdifield; 3 great-granddaughters: Sammy,
Taylor, and Amelia McQuinn; three sisters: Myrna Scott, Mona (Jim) MacIntosh, Jeannie (Petr)
Lucik; sister-in-law, Carol Fraser; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and their families.
Our father was a patient, gentle, giving man. He was one of the kindest souls, with one of the
biggest hearts, who worked tirelessly to ensure that his family had everything they needed. He
faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage.
Early in life he learned the importance of hard work and he instilled that same work ethic in us.
He was always there, whether we needed help or just a shoulder to cry on. He was a man of
strong faith and he taught us the importance of family and of doing what is right.
You will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved you. You will live in our hearts forever. We
love you so much. Rest in Peace.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at the First Baptist Church, 877 North
Park St. Victoria, BC. on Jan 21, 2023 at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
Victoria Mustard Seed.
