Obituary of Dillon Joseph McGee
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Beloved Husband, Dad, and Poppa on Saturday, November 9th, 2024 at Groves Park Lodge, Renfrew at the age of 76. Cherished husband of Diane (Gervais) for 50 years. Beloved father of Allison (Rory Richards) and Lesley (Kevin Thomas). Proud and loving Poppa of Harrison, Eden, and Weston Richards and Spencer, Parker, and Harper Thomas. Dear brother of James, Joyce, Cheryl, Paul, and Pauline. Predeceased by his parents Leo and Bertha, and brothers John and Leo.
As a Grandfather, he treasured his grandchildren, creating special memories that will live on in their hearts forever. Dillon had a memorable career in education, both as a teacher and principal. During this time he touched countless lives with his passion for education and his belief in the potential of every child.
Dillon’s family would like to thank the dedicated and caring staff of Groves Park Lodge, Renfrew. Dillon will be deeply missed by all who knew him and his memory will live on in the stories, lessons, and love he leaves behind.
Memorial visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St, S Renfrew on Thursday, November 14th from 4 pm until 7 pm only. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 86 Lacroix Bay Road Whitewater Region, on Friday, November 15th at 11:00 am. Donations in memory of Dillon may be made to Groves Park Lodge Auxiliary or Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery.
