Vandenberg, Diana
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Village at University Gates, Waterloo at the age of 75 years. Beloved wife of the late J. Bryon Vandenberg (2020). Proud mother of John and Chantel Vandenberg, Tom and Sjoukje Vandenberg, and Cindy and George Briggs. Adoring grandma to Breanna, Alexis, Sadie, Connor, Ashley, B.J., Brad and great-grandma to Kristen, Alyna, Kaitlyn, Nyla, Dylan, Drake, and Callie. Dear sister of Patricia Yutronkie, Marie Willms, Andy and Rose Gutoskie and Carmel Hutchison. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Agnes (Prince) Gutoskie, and sisters Rita Lorbetskie and Florence Chapeskie.
Diana was a PSW for many years at Chateau Gardens – Elmira (now Chartwell). She loved family gatherings, card games with family and friends, going to the cottage and visiting family down east. Above all else she will be remembered for her love of her family, whom she cherished and placed at the centre of her world.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A funeral mass will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023 at St. Teresa of Avila RC Church, 19 Flamingo Drive, Elmira. A private family interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated and may be made through the funeral home.
