Obituary
It is with broken hearts we announce the tragic passing of our son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and dear friend, Devin Paul George, at the young age of 30 years.
Devin was known for his kind gentle spirit, infectious smile and heartwarming chuckle that touched the lives of all who knew him. He had a passion for all sports, particularly hockey, where he proudly wore his number 11 jersey while playing minor hockey.
Devin’s deep affection for animals, growing up surrounded by furry companions and cherishing his current friends Darci and Molly, showcased his compassionate nature. With a wide circle of friends, he enjoyed travelling and socializing but mostly loved engaging in a competitive round of golf on a regular basis when the season opened.
Following his high school graduation, he pursued a career path aligned with his passion for helping others. This journey led him to become a paramedic where he dedicated himself to this noble profession touching countless hearts and lives along the way.
On June 22, 2024, his untimely departure has left all who loved and knew him heartbroken.
Devin is predeceased by his grandfather Leonard George.
Left with grieving hearts and cherished memories Devin is survived by his loving parents Paul and Kerry-Ann George; brother Garrett; grandmothers Joan Hiller and Audrey George; great – grandmother Dora Critch; grandfather Wallace Reid; and special friend Courtney; as well as several family members. His special friends, whom he called his sisters and brothers, you know who you are, will feel a void with his absence.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo, on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
A private celebration of Devin’s life will be held for immediate family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers Devin’s memory can be honored by donating to Breakaway Foundation, a program that works to support the development of youth hockey, healthy lifestyles, and providing an opportunity for all kids to participate in hockey, regardless of financial situations.
