Jordan,
Delphine Viola, age 70, of Antigonish passed away on February 14,
2024, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital,
Antigonish.
Born in
Guysborough, she was a daughter of the late Charles Ambrose and
Josephine (Borden) Jordan.
Del worked
for many years at the National Philatelic Centre. She had a lovely
sense of humour, and she enjoyed quiet living and time spent with her
friends. Delphine was a loyal and much-loved member of the
congregation of Jehovah’s
Witness.
She is
survived by her sisters, Linda Jordan, Halifax; Cora Jordan, Montreal;
and Laura Borden (Chester), Sydney; brothers, Robert Jordan, Halifax;
Seaman Jordan, Arichat; Ralph «Bo» Jordan, Annapolis Valley;
Stanley Jordan, Surrey, BC; and Norman Borden (late Leona), Mulgrave,
niece, Shelley O’Toole and many other nieces and
nephews.
Predeceased
by her brothers, Alexander Borden and Harold Borden; and a sister in
infancy.
The family
would like to thank the V.O.N. and the staff at St. Martha’s
Hospital for their kind and compassionate care, as well as the members
of the Antigonish Congregation of Jehovah’s
Witnesses.
Cremation has
taken place, and a service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of
Jehovah’s Witnesses at 2 pm on Saturday, February
24th. The service will be available
for viewing on Zoom. Zoom meeting ID: 886 5324
1231 (no password needed).
Funeral
arrangements are under the direction of C.L. Curry Funeral Home,
Antigonish.
