It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Debbie Ann Vaslett, a beloved mother who endured a battle with cancer that she could no longer fight. She peacefully started her journey to a better place, free from pain and suffering on October 7th, 2023 in the embrace of her family.
Debbie was born on April 27th, 1963 to Dinah and Charles Hickey(predeceased). Debbie brought immeasurable joy and love to those fortunate enough to know her. She was a pillar of strength and resilience, portraying an unwavering amount of love throughout her life, especially during her last little while here on earth.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her husband Randy, daughters: Dana(Steve) Davina(Josh). Grandchildren: Ethan, Emma, Jaxson. Debbie was a devoted wife, supportive, loyal, a beacon of commitment and partnership that was inspiring. As a mother she showered her daughters with guidance, support and nurturing. Her most cherished role was that of a grandmother. She was an endless source of love and warmth, and thrived on the joy and happiness that being around her grandkids brought to her life. She has instilled wisdom and created boundless cherished memories with Ethan, Emma and Jaxson that would last a lifetime.
Debbie had a deep passion for her family and friends and would always make an effort to be present for all important occasions and milestones. Debbie loved adventures, traveling, dancing, trips to the cabin, boating, shopping, and doing everything and anything with Randy by her side. Debbie was known for her kindness, willingness to offer a listening ear and a comforting embrace. She made the best of every day, enjoying life to the fullest, treasuring the simplest things that mean the most.
In her memory, we celebrate a life well lived, a remarkable woman, the love she bestowed and the legacy she leaves behind. Debbie will forever be missed but never forgotten by her mom, brothers and sister, nieces and nephews, in-laws and many friends and extended family.
The Vaslett Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Burin on Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 12 noon to 6:00pm. A Celebration of Life for Debbie will take place from Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Burin on Monday, November 6th, 2023 at 10:30am. Inurnment to follow at the Cemetery in Grand Le Pierre.
