David Edward MacMillan
Peacefully at home surrounded by his family, David (57) passed away after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved husband of Julie and amazing father to Reagan, Rachel, and Ryan (Meghan). Brother to Allan (Glo) and Marcia (Dave) and brother-in-law to Maria (Jim) and Dan (Paula). David was also the favourite uncle to many nephews.
David was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in September 2023. A month later we discovered that he had mets to the liver. From the beginning, David had such an amazing attitude and outlook on life; his unwavering optimism had an uplifting and inspiring impact on his family and friends. His steadfast resolve to live each day to the fullest is something for which we should all aspire.
David was always the life of the party, constantly telling stories, with a loud, boisterous laugh that could be heard miles away. He loved playing golf with his golf buddies whenever he could. He also loved getting together with his friends and playing their guitars on the deck, calling their band the “Kouch Krawlers.”
We will be having a celebration of life “David Style,” so if you play guitar, bring it along and play a song for him. The celebration will be held at Forked River Brewery 45 Pacific Crt, London, ON, on Saturday October 26th from 1-4pm.
Donations can be made in his name to the Cancer Centre’s Patient Assistance Fund which helps cancer patients directly with illness related expenses not covered, such as medications, parking, wigs, and more.
