Predeceased by his parents Lorne and Elizabeth (Amminson) Schinbein, parents-in-law Chris and Henny Hill, and by his brother-in-law Robert Galbraith.
David lived life to the fullest. He loved spending time and having fun with family and friends. David was a builder. He built sandboxes for his children and grandchildren, as well as a treehouses, decks, floating docks, bridges, and gazebos for his beautiful pond. David enjoyed watching his grandkids playing baseball, hockey, soccer, motocross, and dance.
He also loved road trips with Liz to Lake Huron and watching sunsets, weekly pool games with his neighborhood friends, and «fellowship» with his Gowanstown friends, discussing the latest news of the neighborhood. David was a steward of the land. He was always so proud of his farm and homes and the property he owned and cared for.
David was a faithful member of Knox Presbyterian Church. His health issues dictated the later years of his life and choices that were made by and for him. David’s final wish was to return to his beloved family and home to live out his final days.
With immense gratitude we wish to thank Dr. Barb Matthews for her compassionate care, Adriana Muis, Oncology Nurse Listowel FHT for her expertise, Dr. Susanne Renner, Cardiologist at St. Mary’s Hospital, and the doctors and nursing staff at St. Mary’s and Grand River Hospitals for their care and kindness.
Because of you, David’s life was blessed with love, care and dignity.
