David Sam Moore passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, April 1st, 2023, at the West Parry Sound Health Centre.
Born September 14th, 1963, Dave was the only son of the late Elvira and Albert Moore, and only grandchild of the late Velma and Samuel Moore.
Beloved best friend and husband of Lisa for over 35 years. Proud and loving Father of Jaymes (Kyla), and Cameron (Kara). Loving Pop Pop of his beautiful grandchildren, Heath, Levy, Nash, and Baby girl Moore arriving this summer. Cherished son-in-law of Pauline and the late Les Austin. Dear friend and brother-in-law of David Austin and his partner Susan. Fondly remembered by his nephews and nieces, and by his many good friends and hunting buddies.
Known as the “Glassman” of Georgian Bay Glass Ltd. Dave will be deeply missed by the many friends and business relationships he has developed over the past 40 years. Dave always said he was the luckiest guy in the world to be able to work alongside his two sons, and GBG is what it is today because of them, his sons will continue the legacy of Georgian Bay Glass Ltd. in Parry Sound.
Dave was passionate about his family, hunting, fishing, four wheeling, snowmobiling, exploring Georgian Bay, and spending time at the cottage on Labrash Lake, Maple Island. Dave enjoyed being in the great outdoors, and always looked forward to his yearly vacations in Negril, Jamaica feeling “free and irie” with his toes in the sand.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff at Care Partners Parry Sound, the RVH Oncology department, and the Parry Sound Palliative Care team.
Cremation has taken place. The Celebration of Life will be held at the Torrance Funeral Home on Saturday April 15, 2023 at 11 AM. Visitation will begin at 10 AM.
As expressions of sympathy donations to the Parry Sound Anglers and Hunters or the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
