1949-2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our
father, David Allan MacDonald, aged 75, on November 26,
2024.
He was fondly known as «Chef David» and was born to
Hazel and Robert «Shanty» MacDonald, on May 14, 1949, in
Charlottetown, PEI. He was a talented chef who ran his own
catering and restaurant businesses throughout his lifetime that
brought him immense joy. One of his greatest passions was music. He
had a beautiful singing voice and was often found strumming his
guitar. He loved sharing his musical talents with others, whether it
was performing at gatherings or recording his own
music.
He is survived by his loving children, Andy MacDonald and
Cindy Wolters (Nico); their mother, Gladys Doucette (Dave);
grandchildren, Hannah, Ben, Amelie, Anna and Chase; siblings, Judy
Reid (Johnny dec), Lynda Marshall (Al), Sandra MacDonald (Lorne
Cannon), Donna Thorne (Rick), Randy MacDonald (Audrey Wadman) and
Nancy Court.
David was predeceased by his parents, Hazel & Robert
«Shanty» MacDonald; brother Bobby MacDonald; sisters and
brothers-in-law Cathy MacDonald (David Harding) and Diane Harris
(Bob).
No visitation or funeral service by personal request. If so
desired, memorial contributions may be made to Diabetes (PEI).

The soulful melody he brought into this world continues to reverberate
even as he is no longer with us.
