Darwin McNabb, late of Peepeekisis, SK, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the age of 60 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Noel and Catherine McNabb; in-laws, Tom and Joyce Desnomie; adopted parents, Bill and Isobel Pratt; son Roy, who died in infancy; as well as brothers, Morris Bellegarde, Ron Bellegarde, John Bellegarde, Murray McNabb, Eddy McNabb, and Ven McNabb. Darwin is survived by his loving wife, Linda McNabb; daughters, Joy McNabb, Charley Rockthunder, Tracey McNabb, Connie (Tim) Bear, and Rhianna Rockthunder; sons, Darwin “Dardo” McNabb Jr. and Ethan “Bubba” McNabb; adopted parents, Donald and Frieda Koochicum; siblings, George Daniels, Sheri (Lawrence) Starr, Karen Delorme, George (Carol) McNabb, Ken (Lana) McNabb, Dean McNabb, Stuart “Tex” (Jen) McNabb, Sharon Pinay, Muriel (Harley) Dubois, and Petra Daniels. Darwin was so proud of his grandchildren, Monty, Avery, Dana, Carter, Revee, Jaydence, Luna, and Jaxson. He is also remembered by his special nieces and nephews, Murray McNabb, Curtis (Mel) Delorme, Christian Starr, Alberta “Birdie” (Brett) Severite, Skyla (Nick) McNabb, and Carah (Chance) Desnomie; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, adoptive siblings, adopted children, and godchildren. Special thanks to Dr. Karunakran, Dr. Cozman, the FHQHS homecare team, and the OT/PT teams for helping us keep Darwin with us longer.
Traditional Wake will be held at Peepeekisis Community Hall, Peepeekisis First Nation, SK, on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. Traditional Funeral Service will be held at Peepeekisis Community Hall, on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Please no children under the age of 12 years old. Interment will be held at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Peepeekisis First Nation. Please respect the COVID-19 protocols given to us by the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
