Darlene Ann Keeney – 63, of Coldbrook, Kings
County, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2024 in the
Valley Hospice. Born on November 4, 1961 in Kentville, she was a
daughter of Bertha (Bond) Goucher and the late Frederick Goucher.
Darlene owned and operated House of Hair Design for 38 years and was a
hairstylist by trade. She enjoyed gardening, making pickles and
preserves, jigsaw puzzles and tole painting. She was a loving
daughter, wife, mother, Nana, sister and friend who will be sadly
missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her mother, she
is survived by her husband of 42 years, Kevin; children, Tara (Brian)
Dominey and Korey (Cristen) Keeney; grandchildren, Owen Dominey and
Kaleb Keeney; sisters, Ruth (Phil) Levy, Annie (Neil) Keddy, Bertha
Goucher (Matthew Meisner); brothers, Frederick (Tami), Dale, Oran
(Susan Martin), Christopher (Darlene Young), Bert (Rhonda); many
nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. Cremation has taken
place and there will be no visitation by request. A funeral service
and reception celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on
Wednesday, December 4, 2024 in the White Family Funeral Home,
Kentville, Greg White officiating (the service will be available
on-line for those unable to attend). Burial will take place in the
Lakeview Cemetery, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to
the Valley Hospice Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been
entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
