Daniel Edwin George passed away suddenly on August 27, 2024, at his home in
Cambridge. Born on February 6, 1960, in Newmarket, Ontario, Dan was the
beloved son of Jack and Norinne George, both of whom predeceased him.
A dedicated and hardworking individual, Dan always put the needs of others ahead
of his own. He was known for his selflessness and commitment, traits that defined
both his professional life and his personal relationships.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Heather George and his four children: Melissa
(Rumi) Clare, Chris (Odul) George, Melanie (Arcillio) MacDonald, and Rob
(Carmen) MacDonald. He is also remembered by his nine cherished grandchildren:
Madeline, Aiden, Caleb, Cadence, Amelia, Addison, Layla, Jeydan and Kaya.
Dan also leaves behind his siblings Wendy (Mick) Erskine, Virginia (Bob) Pridham,
Tim (Susan) George, Victoria (Derek) Griffiths and Cindy (Terry) Smith as well as
his beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honour Dan’s life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024
at the Lounsbury Funeral Home 1766 Franklin Blvd, Cambridge, Ontario. Visitation
will be 2-5 pm. The service will begin at 5 pm with reception to follow. In lieu of
flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Dan’s legacy of kindness and devotion will continue to motivate those who knew
and loved him.
