Mr. Daniel “Dan” Dumais, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 with his family by his side at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, in Chatham, at the age of 63.
Daniel was born in Amos, Quebec and was a son of the late Maurice Dion and Madeleine Dumais.
Beloved husband of Theresa (Blake) Dumais.
Loving father of Stephanie (Joe) Dumais, Steven (Amanda) Dumais and Matthew Dumais.
He was known to his grandchildren as “Papa” and will be sadly missed by them; Hailey, Evan, Alyia, Keagan, Brooke, Maverick, Maddix, Blake, Hilary, Abby, Ava, Jaxon and Mason.
Dan cherished and spoiled his fur babies Jake and Bear.
Kind brother and brother-in-law of Réjean Dumais, Remi (Carolyn) Dumais, Diane Rivard, Luc (Donna ) Dumais, Gaston Dumais, René (Jackie) Dumais, Joanne Dumais, Ghislaine (Gilles) Levesque, Lyn (Fred) Hames, and Pierre (Rachel) Dion. Predeceased by two brothers Guy Dumais and Francis Dion.
Dan was a workaholic and in his spare time he loved camping and coaching hockey. He loved his Pizza Hut pizza or a good cheeseburger. He was a Quebec Nordiques/Avalanche fan and a fan of the television show Family Feud.
Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. from the chapel of the funeral home.
Cremation will follow.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Epilepsy Foundation may be left at the funeral home.
