1953-2024
The death of Dalton Wayne Greer of East Coldstream occurred
on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the Upper River Valley Hospital,
Waterville, NB. Dalton was born September 20, 1953, in Woodstock, NB
and was the son of the late Ercell and Isabel (Briggs) Greer. He was
also predeceased by two brothers in law, James Harvey
and Willard Merrill.
Dalton is survived by his loving wife
of 49 years, Karen
(Wasson); three children, Bridgette, Anthony
(Nicole) and Andrew (Kalie); seven grandchildren,
Caitlyn, Greyson, Lilyanne, Harlow, Hudson, Adrianna and Millie; three
sisters, Leona Harvey (Weldon Wright), Viola Walton (David) and
Katherine Merrill as well as many nieces, nephews and extended
family.
Dalton grew up on a farm and in the woods, working the land
with his father, uncles, brothers-in-law, and many friends over the
years. He was a hard worker and a good provider for his family. He
enjoyed playing hockey and baseball, as well as watching and wishing
his Maple Leafs and Blue Jays would get their act together. He always
had a grin on his face and a teasing joke up his sleeve. He was
friendly, kind, and loved a good chat. He loved music and singing in
the choir at church. He was very proud of his children and
grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from The Britton Funeral Home, 2 High
St. Hartland on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 5-8 pm. A funeral service
will be held from the Lorne Britton Memorial Chapel on Sunday, July 7,
2024, at 2:00 pm. The interment will be in the Mount Pleasant Baptist
Cemetery. For those who wish, donations made to the River Valley
Cancer Support Group or Camp Shiktehawk would be
appreciated.
